Keeping Your Middletown Home Protected With Comprehensive Bed Bug Control
Different types of pests in Middletown affect your home life differently. Some are simply annoying, while others present a wide range of problems, from property damage to disease transmission. One pest that falls in the middle is the bed bug.
Bed bugs aren't known to be a direct threat to your health and safety. However, they do feed on your blood, leaving behind bites that can become infected when scratched. Also, bed bugs cause stress, sleeplessness, and other problems due to their nocturnal habits.
Our technicians know bed bugs in your home are unacceptable, which is why we're ready and willing to eliminate them completely. Don't wait to become bed bug-free!
Our Bed Bug Control Process
While bed bugs are difficult to remove from your house once an infestation begins, they aren't impossible to eliminate. That's why we've developed a guaranteed process that lets you confidently relax, knowing your bed bug problems will become a thing of the past.
Without exception, we start with an inspection. We'll look for entry points, signs of an infestation, bed bug sightings, and other conducive conditions during the examination. After the review is complete, we'll get to work. We offer two types of treatment options to get rid of bed bugs in your home — heat treatments and insecticide treatments.
For heat treatments, we raise the temperature in your home. During treatment, the air temperature will be between 135°F (57.2°C) and 145°F (62.7 °C). The treatment will last between six to eight hours, depending on the extent of your infestation and the size of the area we are treating.
During the heat treatment, it's important to remove any pets plus heat-sensitive items that may melt or become damaged at temperatures up to 150°F from the treatment area. In addition, our heat treatments don't offer residual effects, meaning the bed bugs can return if you don't take preventative steps.
The other treatment we provide is an insecticide treatment. We provide three different types for maximum coverage; a fast-acting contact insecticide, a residual insecticide (cracks, furniture interior, and other areas), and a dust insecticide for cracks and voids like electrical outlets.
Our insecticide treatment requires multiple treatments approximately one week apart. The treatment will take 30 minutes to two hours per room. We recommend waiting at least three hours before re-entering the treated area.
